My Brain Works Differently
My brain has Autism. My brain has ADHD. That means some things feel different to me, some things move fast, some things need time, and some things that look easy to you…

POETRY. MUSIC. REAL LIFE.
I write about the shit people think about, but don’t always know how to say.
Choose the response that fits. You can change it later.
I’m just a bloke from Hull.
I’ve worked all sorts of jobs over the years, raised three amazing kids, laughed more than I probably should have, lost people I never wanted to lose and, like everybody else, had life absolutely kick me up the arse more than once.
I don't write characters or pretend I've got everything figured out. I write from real life, the good bits, the shit bits and the things most of us think about but don't always say out loud.
Not every track needs to change the world. If something I've written makes one person feel understood, starts a conversation or makes someone realise they're not on their own, it's already done something worthwhile.
This was never just about putting music online. It's about creating something from everything life's thrown at me, enjoying where it takes me and using the journey to do some good along the way.
EVERY TRACK STARTS SOMEWHERE. MINE USUALLY STARTS WITH WORDS.
Long before I started releasing music, I wrote. Poems, thoughts, memories and bits of life that needed somewhere to go.
Some are about mental health. Some about family, loss, neurodivergence, growing older, being a dad, fucking things up, getting back up and everything else life throws at us.
Those words eventually found beats, melodies and a voice.
The music might be what you hear, but the words are where you'll find me.

My brain has Autism. My brain has ADHD. That means some things feel different to me, some things move fast, some things need time, and some things that look easy to you…

Right, apparently Britain needed part two, because there’s loads more stupid shit we do. We covered the weather, the tea and the queue, but somehow that barely scratched through.

I’ve got autism, ADHD, so basically fuck knows which version you’ll see. One likes routine, one kicks in the door, one wants peace, one’s ordered three things more.

Poet, artist and slightly chaotic bloke from Hull. I write and create around mental health, real life and the stuff we usually keep buried.
Your support helps towards vocal lessons, recording, equipment, software, travel and keeping life ticking over while I create new music and poetry. It helps me keep learning, keep building Chris Rewired and keep supporting the causes that matter to me.
From £3 / month
No pressure. Listening, sharing and simply being here already means a lot.
I didn’t build a studio because I suddenly decided I knew what I was doing. Quite the opposite
I’m learning it properly. Production, recording, vocal control, pitch, breathing, mixing and everything else that comes with taking the music from an idea in my head to something that’s actually mine from beginning to end.
The studio is where that next part happens.
I’ll be sharing the progress, the equipment, what I’m learning, what goes wrong, what finally clicks and eventually the moment my own voice replaces the one you’ve heard on the tracks so far.
No pretending I’m already there. Just documenting what it takes to get there.
Built from words. Carried around the world.
